I'm reporting this content due to the lack of no trigger warning of this video. It's trigger the terror of murder, mental health and no young viewer disclaimer. You as a uploader should be responsible for this action, because you should know this scene is unsuitable for young viewer (under 18). This have been for 10 years and yet you haven't upt up the trigger warning of this video. Especially for the thumbnail, you will be more responsible for not choosing other scene or custom thumbnail, because this thumbnail is also unsuitable for young viewer, you see many children dying on the thumbnail. Im reporting that as well. Be responsible of your action.
@@robertb4000 Your time on UA-cam must be miserable if all you do is hunt for videos to clutch your pearls and wag your fingers over, especially videos of clips from laughably bad Hong Kong horror movies that have been posted for FOURTEEN YEARS, viewed nearly 300,000 times, and approved by the rights-holder of the original film. For your information - because you evidently know nothing before revving up those fingers - this video has been tagged as NOT FOR KIDS in its settings since the day I uploaded it, just like ALL of my other videos. Every. Single. One. Even when the content IS safe for kids, my videos are still tagged NOT FOR KIDS. If your precious widdle babies saw this video it’s because YOUR UA-cam settings weren’t enabled to prevent it. Did you ever think of that? I didn’t think so. There is NO rule that “trigger” warnings have to be PLASTERED ALL OVER THE VIDEO or its title or description just because YOU demand it, especially when the video is already tagged as ‘Not for kids.’ Viewers who use their heads and READ the video title (“Bloody Buns”, FFS 😂) and LOOK at the thumbnail (horror movie victims with fake blood! 🤣) know exactly what they’re getting into. You couldn’t possibly have been that callow and ignorant. I now can’t WAIT until you stumble across my ‘dumpling’ video (or frankly, hundreds of other crazy ones on my channel) and blow a head gasket racing to report it without doing any research, or understating how UA-cam works, or how to change YOUR settings so you don’t have to spend all day watching crazy, boundary-pushing but properly flagged videos that secretly fascinate you while you pretend to be a morality cop. I also can’t wait until you stumble across videos for the Hong Kong movie UNTOLD STORY, which this movie Bloody Buns rips off. The content of MANY videos about that film, as well as MANY of the thumbnail images, are worse than this one! You’re gonna get carpal tunnel from all the high-minded finger wagging! 🤣😆😂 By the way, I’ll be deleting your comment soon enough. I’ll leave it up long enough for you to get the notification of my reply, but otherwise I don’t want such blatant silliness blighting my awesome video. 😎
@@CoolestmoviesI do set up the setting for me and my daughter, but when she was scrolling the video, she saw this horrible thumbnail and did you know after she watched this, she has gone through many NIGHTMARE and hallucinations. Even so, when she saw me cooking meat for her, she refused to EAT and threw it into the bin and demanded that I must throw the meat to the trash centre. and I have to spend 350 for a consoler for her !
@@robertb4000 🤣😂 You’re a joke. Nobody believes that. 🤣 This video is set EXACTLY the way it should be. That’s why it’s still up after 14 years. If you really have parental controls enabled on UA-cam, you wouldn’t see the thumbnail, period. Furthermore, the only reason you or ANYONE could see the thumbnail in a search OR as a sidebar suggestion is because a) you DON’T have parental controls enabled, and b) you watched other stuff just like this so UA-cam recommends more. How sad that you don’t know how UA-cam works after it’s been around for 20 years! If you actually had a young daughter, which I doubt, she deserves a better father than someone like you who watches gruesome horror movie clips all day with parental controls off so that UA-cam’s algorithms can recommend even more. What a sicko you are to let your “daughter” see such properly-tagged ADULT content. That is, if she even existed. Next you’ll tell me she grew up to become a serial killer because of this video! All in a matter of DAYS! 😆
Thank you @0:13, gotta admit...that guys a maestro with that spray! Theres nothing like seeing a guy flocking his mane-especially for Christmas!
Many millennials in Taiwan grew up watching this movie during their Saturday TV time
How does the film look in 4K?
I’ll have to defer to others on that as I don’t collect or watch 4K, but I had to take the disc as it’s part of the combo pack. The film looks phenomenal on the Blu-ray (as it did even on the 2020 DVD), so I’d imagine the 4K is even better. I’m sure the reviews will start going up any day now.
@ Thanks for your thoughts anyway 🙏 I’m looking forward to receiving my copy
The new blu ray looks great! I have the Megastar dvd and the film is grainy and dark at some points. It will be cool to see the new remaster. I’m actually surprised they got this movie to release. It fits for their type of releases but it does seem random at the same time.
Definitely happily surprised when they first announced it. I’ve had that DVD for probably 20 years or more, and have never stopped recommending the film to people (including along with other folks on discussion forums where I suspect it was noticed). Frankly, I wish these bigger boutique labels would go after more independent 80’s and 90’s movies like this one instead of endlessly (and lazily) cherry-picking the Shaw Bros. and Golden Harvest/Fortune Star libraries (was ANYONE, anywhere, asking for Dial D For Demons? 🙄😆). There are tons of movies like this one from smaller, shorter-lived production companies that have long deserved attention in the west but never got it outside of us western fans test-driving them on discs from Chinatown shops or from online retailers (YesAsia, DDD, etc). When Vinegar Syndrome announced this, I immediately got faint hope that they or their partner labels now had access to the small catalog of the production company Joe Siu International, which also includes the Moon Lee + Yukari Oshima action picture Mission of Justice, the Tony Leung Ka-Fai + Carol Cheng + Moon Lee action-comedy To Catch A Thief, the Carol Cheng thriller Murder, and the Tony Leung KF + Rosamund Kwan cop thriller Touch of Evil. None of these are as cool as Women On The Run, but they could work as US or UK Blu-rays if they were priced accordingly and not so over-packaged with fancy boxes and posters and stuff. I further hoped (against hope) that VS gained access to the catalog of Women On The Run’s other, lesser-promoted production company (credited only on the original poster to my knowledge), Andy Lau’s Teamwork Production House Ltd., which would mean potential future releases of Sammo Hung’s Moon Warriors, Jeff Lau’s Days of Tomorrow, Gordon Chan’s Gameboy Kids, Fruit Chan’s Days of Summer and both Saviour of the Soul movies, among others. But as always, I don’t hold my breath. Some of the smaller boutiques have done well going after the lower-end and Cat. III stuff (Error 4444, Unearthed), but for the most part everyone keeps their eyes on the crown jewel catalogs of GH and Shaw. Still, at least we got this one, so that’s better than nothing. 🙂
@ Yes I agree! There are so many non-GH and SB productions I am begging for to myself. These include some of the lesser known titles like Not Scared to Die (Eagle Shadow Fist) and Police Woman (Rumble In Hong Kong). I love Jackie Chan and we have so many and no one is touching those two because they aren’t his popular movies. In fact just supporting roles. Those need rescued! I agree with your choices for the Andy Lau films. I love Andy Lau too! I’m gung-ho about any and all Andy Lau films we can get a new release for. Running on Karma is coming soon but we need a double feature of Savior of the Soul 1&2, Return Engagement and Gun and Rose! I’d love to have The Sting and The Sting II, Dragon In Jail, Proud and Confident, The Adventurers from 1995 just to name a few of the many! We also might as well have Jackie Chan cameo films like No End of Surprised and All In The Family since we got his two Shaw films of the same theme. I don’t think anything I mentioned was Golden Hsrvest or Shaw Brothers but hopefully we can get at least a chunk of your picks and a chunk of mine! At some point someone’s gotta release all these underrated and forgotten about movies!
@@perryfan49 Yeah, the list is pretty endless once you get outside of SB and GH. I suspect in some cases the materials may not have been stored as well as SB and GH stuff was (more or less) over the years, so the boutiques probably have to wait until an ideal print or negative turns up, and then make sure the ownership and licensing specifics are properly sorted out, especially when production companies no longer exist and rights have transferred, etc. You list a bunch that I’d love to see put out by western companies. I think I have of them on HK Blu-rays that look great (albeit no extras usually) and if I’m really lucky they have the original mono or 2.0 soundtracks. If they never come out in the U.S. or U.K., I can live with that, but overall there are so many movies that would really surprise people who are not overly familiar with ‘deep cuts’ of Hong Kong cinema but might help bring them deeper into the fold as a result. WOMEN ON THE RUN is an ideal example, so I really hope there are more choices like that one in the future, and maybe less of stuff like DIAL D FOR DEMONS, which I think is just ok but will only buy used or in a Vinegar Syndrome sale down the road. On the WOMEN ON THE RUN DISC, there’s a good interview with the production managers who worked on the Vancouver portion of the shoot. They also worked on SAVIOUR OF THE SOUL II, which was likewise produced by Andy Lau’s company. This has me wondering if Vinegar Syndrome maybe got the rights to those two films along with WOMEN ON THE RUN and might have already interviewed them about their involvement with Part II. Pure speculation on my part, but I know these companies will often make ‘package deals’ to get more than one key title that might sell well. Fingers crossed, I guess.
Anthony Kiedis' pops knows how to lay it on good
I wonder if that book is just the transcripts of the interviews in the special features, hopefully so(for me anyways since i got the standard edition)
@@jeremyhaulter742 The book has two essays by film scholar types, one an overall defence of the film as is (nothing we haven’t read elsewhere, to be honest), the other drawing parallels to Golem literature and films, and a third piece is an interview with Mann reprinted from a 1983 issue of Film Comment magazine. No repeated material from the interviews, really, outside of a few commonly known facts about the troubled production.
@@Coolestmovies Thank you so much for the info, i wasn't really expecting a reply, and it was nice of you to do so.
@@jeremyhaulter742 No problem. I’m one of those seemingly rare UA-camrs these days who actually reads the comments and replies if someone posts something interesting! It probably helps that my videos don’t get many comments so it’s easy to engage! 👍
How long do vinegar syndrome take to dispatch items I ordered this on Saturday and still haven’t received an email confirming it’s been dispatched?
@@johnbeggs2657 They do take a while because of the massive backlog they get (plus, order stacking is still available during part of the Partner Month sale, which just started today). Based on my notifications last year, my BF orders placed around November 24 shipped around December 20. My orders in all the previous years have similar delays, so I suspect it will be the same this year. Also, I think they give priority to subscribers, which I’m not. The sheer volume of copies of The Keep that they sold in this sale probably means more orders to fill overall, so we can only be patient. I ordered one online, but the only reason I have the one in the video is because my city has a Vinegar Syndrome store downtown. I thought it would be sold out before I got there on Friday, but it wasn’t, so I bought one figuring I could cancel the online copy. But then it sold out, so I figured I might as well keep that order, too.
@@Coolestmovies thanks for the info much appreciated 👍👍
@@johnbeggs2657 No problem. Hope you enjoy it when you get it! 😎
I placed my order on the 29th of last month. Just got the standard Blu Ray.
Not sure about the little book cover design
@@ps5andstuffhere Definitely a weird one on the outside, and pretty basic on the inside. Sometimes I wonder if the designers of the booklets actually have much experience designing books, magazines, print products, etc. I’ve done it for decades as a career and would love a shot at one of these, but I assume most boutiques prefer less traditional approaches.
@Coolestmovies Just watched Repo Man Criterion 4K. Very good designs
@@ps5andstuffhere Criterion contracts top designers for their books and inserts for sure, who clearly put some thought into thematically matching the book design to the movie in various ways. Some of the cult boutiques do get layout people who do equally good work, but because they produce so many of these things nowadays, the design quality runs the gamut. Rarely bad, but just bland sometimes. The Keep book is still readable, but I can think of many ways it would look cooler. But hey, we get what we get, I suppose. 🙂
